Well it is official. I have signed and sealed my check for the cost of the reunion. It's off in the mail now. No turning back. My 10 year high school reunion is 2 weeks from today. At first I was so excited to go. Then it seemed like there was not very many people attending. Honestly I didn't want to spend my hard earned $50 to go and see people who didn't care to see me and vise verse. As of lately more and more people seem to be committing to going so I am back on board with the excitement to go. Plus I have a sitter lined up so why not make the most of a kid-free night. I am excited to and see some old friends and also to hang out with some of my good friends. I am glad to hear that Lisa and Tiffany are coming as well. Hopefully we don't get into to much trouble. Now my mission is going to be able to convince Jenny & Tony to come too.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Like I don't have enough things to do...
Here is a crochet blanket that I have been working on for a while. Since I was pregnant with Sydney. So for about 2 years now. It has taken a long time because I can not work on it every day and it is single crochet with a thin yarn. So they are small stitches.
This is a close up of how the stitches turned out. This is a diagonal striped blanket. You have to work in in the shape of a triangle and then decrease into another triangle. Thus creating a square piece.
This is actually my prized possession. I actually make this for a girlfriend of mine when she and I were both pregnant. I was just newly pregnant. I think I found out I was pregnant with Sydney the day after her baby shower. So I made this blanket for her because I thought she was having a girl. Turns out she had a boy. So I was so excited that I was able to keep this blanket. I truly don't know if I could have parted with it. One of the ladies from work who taught me to crochet told me I will probably have to make 2 of everything because some things you just wont want to part with and this is one of them. I also made a matching hat that goes with this. So cute! I love it!
Below is a picture of the detail in the stitches.
I really love to knit and crochet I just wish that I had more uninterrupted time to devote to it. Usually on a good night I can find and hour or so to myself to work on some of my on going projects. I usually dont work on anything during the summer so I can be outside with my family. So winter is the time I really get working on my crocheting and now knitting.

Bad Boys, Bad Boys, What cha gonna do when they come for you...
OR don't come for you and just drive on by?
So today on my lunch I ran a few errands and on my way back to work a cop is driving behind me. No big deal. I haven't done anything wrong. Well the cop changes lanes and gets behind the lady driving along next to me. We all come to a stop light and stop for the red light. Well not sure why but I look over at the lady next to me and she seems a bit nervous. She's looking in her rear view mirror, then in her drivers side mirror, and continues to look back and forth. I was curious as to why she would be SO nervous looking. So I look back into her back seat and she has a little girl back there. My guess was that she was approximately 2-3 yrs old. I have now realized why the lady might be SO nervous. Well the little girl has NO SEAT BELT ON!!!! This makes me crazy. One, because its dangerous, stupid, and illegal to not buckle up your kids. Second, because they didn't even get caught. The light turned green. The cop passes this lady by changing lanes in front of me and then just drives on by. I tell you if I even change lanes without using my turn signal. I am BUSTED but yet other people seem to get away with endangering their children's lives by not even having them buckled up. Got to love the Police!

Morgan, Morgan, Morgan...
Last night we made a trip to Applebee's for dinner. We decided it was about time to cash in on a gift certificate that we got from my brother and his girlfriend for Christmas last year. So Morgan said the funniest thing at dinner that I just had to share with you. As most of you already know that Morgan is my outgoing and so far from shy child. So we ordered our food. Morgan got a corn dog and french fries. And just a few minutes after ordering Morgan practically yells "What is taking so long to get our food!". I cant tell you how many heads turned. I couldn't do anything but laugh. There was another waiter standing near our table. He looks over at us and says "That was AWESOME!" It really was hilarious. Then a little more quietly Morgan continued to ask how long it was going to take for a corn dog. We also ordered a Spinach and Artichoke Dip appetizer. Morgan asked me how long it was going to take to get that because you don't have to make the chips! I love, love, love this girl!

Halloween 2008

So we headed out with a beautiful Good Witch (Morgan), a sweet little Duckling (Sydney) and the cutest little Kitty (my niece Zoey). Sydney is my shy little girl. She doesn't want anyone but Mom and Dad but this night she was in rare form. She was all about getting some tastey treats from all of our neighbors. We had an absolute blast and an hour and 45 minutes later the kids were pooped. We returned to our house to inspect their candy. We let the kids enjoy a couple of treats while the girls were in a trance watching The Lion King on DVD. Needless to say we had no problems getting these little ones off to bed that night. Maybe we should dress them up and let them run the neighborhood every night?
Also lets not forget to mention the dangers of halloween candy? This actually happened before we even left to go Trick or Treating. My daycare providers were nice enough to send home little goody bags for the kids and of coarse as soon as we got home the girls wanted to rip through the bags to see what was in there. So while I was helping Morgan with her bag Sydney managed to open her bag which was stapled shut and took a bite out of her first piece of halloween candy. The Problem.....the wrapper was not removed. So I look over to find a bite out of this piece of candy. So I snag up the candy and fish out the chocolate and tin foil from Sydney's mouth. Talk about scare the pants off me. Yikes! At least we retrieved it all.
